The Heart of Altavia

The sun is a-rising high in the east
O’er the mountains and deep in the valleys
Altavia shines like a jewel in the Crown
Smiling down on the rest of Caid.

Here in this place a welcome exists,
For actors and poets and laurels,
The hub of the circle, ever it grows,
From the heart of Altavia.

They come from the east and they come from the west,
And they raise up their voices and sing out.
And they meet at the crossroads of all Caid,
At the Heart of Altavia.

The highways they wind from far and away,
They’re drawn to this edge of the highlands.
Where the elders will come and tell us their tales
Of ages and journeys past.

And we sit and we hear, and get carried away
And slowly the knot gently tightens,
Holding us all in its warm embrace,
From the heart of Altavia.

They come from the north and they come from the south,
And they raise up their voices and sing out.
And they meet at the crossroads of all Caid,
At the Heart of Altavia.

From the east and the west, and the north and the south,
Just raise up your voices and sing out.
Let’s meet at the crossroads of all Caid,
In the Heart of Altavia.
